QuestionWhy do authors have to use the AECE paper template before the evaluation?
Solution Some authors asked us why it is mandatory to use our template in the evaluation phase. The answer to this question is relatively simple, and has four parts:

1. To format the paper content by using our template (or any other template) takes from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the number of pages and the complexity of the content (equations, figures, table, etc.). As for writing the paper content in raw format takes several tens of hours (or even more), there is no reason to refuse to use the extra minutes to correctly format it by using the requested template and styles.

2. If the paper is in another format, the length of the final paper will be certainly different. We prepare your paper for evaluation in PDF format, by numbering each row, on all pages. So, if we evaluate your paper and you will have to modify it according to reviewers' recommendations, it will be very hard for us to review the modifications you've done, as the text/figure arrangement will be totally different.

3. By using our template when you submit your work to us, we consider this as a sign you really want your paper to be reviewed and published. If you submit a document using another format, we do not have reasons to consider you did not have submitted the same and identical document to another journal(s), and you are not even interested in publishing it here. You have to remember the reviewers are working on a voluntary basis, and such a paper will be abandoned at the end, after we've done the reviewing work.

4. If an author is unable to follow some simple formatting rules before the paper is evaluated, are there any reasons to consider he/she will be able to follow the same simple rules after the evaluation? There are no reasons to believe this.

In conclusion, all prospective authors are kindly asked to follow the template and use only the style defined in the template. Honestly, it is somehow a matter of respect and not really a technical issue.
