The present paper presents two current-mode active filters which have the less common property to exhibit a Butterworth lowpass transfer function when all the resistors, respectively all the capacitors have the same value. Furthermore, the filters employ unity gain cells as active devices and require the minimum number of passive components to achieve the corresponding transfer functions.
